The Tape-on-Reel Feeder is specifically designed for the presentation of components, which are attached to reel tapes. These reel-tapes, usually manufactured by the "Cut Procedure", find their application increasingly in the electronics industry. The use of this feeding system enables the automation of the assembly of single sided as well as double sided adhesive components, which are frequently used as a sealing or fastening element. The furnishes the components in an accurate position and detaches them from the reel tape by the use of a specialized peel off carriage. The reel tape is afterwards rolled up by a wrapping device. With double sided adhesive components, the cover is also removed by a wrapping device.
Easy adjustment of the detach-position in height and X location, the quick unlocking of the roller drive, a tape presence control, as well as easy accessibility to all essential components are the main characteristics of the Tape-on-Reel Feeder, which allows for a simple and fast integration into any system. When using this feeding system in connection with a single- or multiaxis DCAM assembly module, an extremly efficient and compactly design turnkey system emerges for the outfitting of prefabricated parts.
