Metal shears are used in the entire sheetmetal industry, for the processing of metals in the automotive-, container-, and shipbuilding construction, as well as body shops. The shears can be used for either straight- or curved incisions.
Pestle-knives or so-called rotator-knives with four cutting edges are available for the shears 403-945 and 402-945. These pestles do not require re-sharpening.
The handle-shear 410-945 and the larger shear DS 35 + DS 42 possesses rotatorknives with two cutting edges each, which can be re-sharpened. All shears allow a full view of the work-surface and the incision for maximum operational safety.
The handle-shears 410-945 (with a 70mm / 2.76in overhang) – with a cutting direction crosswise to the motor axis – is specifically designed to fissure even or bent sheet metal products, up to a seam-width of maximum 70mm /2.76in. It is also well suited for pipes with a minimum diameter of 30mm / 1.18in.
