DEPRAG opens a new branch in Malaysia

DEPRAG announces the incorporation of its 100 %-owned subsidiary, DEPRAG Malaysia SDN.BHD. The new operation is located in Penang, a highly industrialized region in the North-West of the country. A combined office and production facility of 500 square meters has been leased within the Golden Gateway Industrial Park.

Alongside our plant in Suzhou, China, and our joint venture in Seoul, South Korea, the new site in Penang is our third direct establishment in East Asia.

DEPRAG Group CEO Dr. Erik Hallmann said: “Malaysia is a fast growing market across all sectors of the economy with plenty of potential. The central location within East Asia and the highly qualified workforce represent net advantages for our customers. DEPRAG has been active in Malaysia for over 20 years and we will reinforce and expand our corporate relationships. Our strategic aim includes the coverage of the dynamic neighbouring states Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. The growing middle class of these countries underlines the potential of the region. East Asia has become the centre of gravity of the global economy. “
