When connected to a measurement reading transducer, every DEPRAG torque measuring instruments of the ME (Measuring Electronic) series provides precise and highly dynamic measurements of torque values.
Application examples are
- supervision, control and torque adjustment of screwdrivers
- control and calibration of mechanical torque wrenches
- control of integrated DEPRAG screwdriver spindles without the necessity to remove the spindle from an assembly machine
- verification and documentation of the assembly quality in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 quality requirements
The measuring instruments can be operated in the following operational modes (Modi):
- At single measurement with display of the peak value with this mode, all incoming measurements are registered and the highest single value, detected during the entire duration of the measurement, is displayed as the measurement result.
- During the measurement series mode, the peak values of several single measurements are automatically summarized into a measurement series. From the measurement series, essential statistical values, are calculated, such as the average torque value X and standard deviation S.
- Single measurement with display, of the currently prevailing torque value is an operating mode of the measuring instrument ME5600.
Functional principle of the measuring instruments connected to a certain torque-transducer:
- Piezo-Electric Transducer
The electric charge produced by the transducer is changed into an analogue measuring signal by a specially tuned charge amplifier.
- Strain-Gauge Transducer
An analog charge signal is already available on the DMS transducers.
- External Rotary, Non-Contact Transducer
The non-contact transducer creates outgoing charge proportionate to the torque from 0 to 5 volts.
All DEPRAG measuring Instruments of the series ME5.... and ME6.... allow the connection of the three previously mentioned transducers.
Using a fast and high resolution AD converter the torque value is displayed and that accurately and digitally even at a highly-dynamic tightening process.
Naturally, all relevant measuring metrics are traceable to national standards. We offer an extensive calibration service for the regular checkup of your measuring instrument.
The standard-software incorporates a choice of measurement unit (metric/inch) as well as language (German/English).
All measurements are recognizable on the display. Depending on the instrument design, the values can additionally be sent to one of our printers (large line of accessories) or to a primary host computer.
Torque measurement device ME5000
The mobile and compact measurement device ME5000 with integrated battery allows a torque measurement independent of location or power supply. For example, it is ideally suited to obtain a screwdriver's optimal setting value directly on the assembly station.
A docking station and battery charger are included with the ME5000. The registered measurement values can be transmitted via a serial port on the docking station to a PC or printed on printer ND 40 (see accessories).
Torque measurement device ME5500
The measurement electronic ME5500 for connection to a PC is the ideal measurement device for a stationary calibration laboratory. Besides all commonly required torque measurement functions, this software also enables you to carry out detailed screw joint analysis. This function will display the complete cycle procedure – torque over time – for a measurement series. The required graphics analysis program is included as standard.
The operation of this device, the display and printing of measurement values and the data processing is carried out directly on your PC, which is connected to the measurement device by a USB 2.0 port. Your Advantage: You can easily process large amounts of data (e.g. with a commonly available statistics program) – all data is available on your PC as an ASCII-file.
Torque measurement device ME5600
The measurement electronic ME5600 is the ideal measurement device for the use on a mobile measuring station or in a measurement laboratory; it will perform the on-site inspection and adjustment of all kinds of screwdriving tools.
The actually occuring torque value can be recoreed and displayed with the measurement electronic ME5600. Another great advantage of this measurement instrument is the high resolution of the measurement data and the recording of large measurement series of up to 100 values.
All values are graphically displayed on the LC display. The device can easily be operated using the touch screen. Data can be output to various printers (see accessories).
Torque measurement device ME6000 / ME6100
The measurement electronic ME6000 (measuring range up to 480 N·m) and the ME6100 (measuring range up to 1000 N·m) with a linearity of < 0.5% and accuracy of < ±0.5% FS have been added to the DEPRAG portfolio of torque measurement devices. They are high quality precision measurement devices which even have double the accuracy of the reliable ME5400 and are highly recommended for tasks where measurement accuracy of 0.5 % is desirable. This is imperative for torque below 0.5 N·m (for DEPRAG screwdriver families NANOMAT and MICROMAT).
The high resolution system of 15 bit is suitable for all torque transducers. Small measurement ranges can be measured with high precision over a large range (min. 1:10). As well as all functions for torque recording the software can also carry out detailed software analysis, which displays the cycle procedure “torque over period of time” of a measurement cycle. The required graph analysis program is included as
standard. The software can be used on 32 and also 64 bit Windows Systems.
